TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I’m going to keep this short and without any of the legal nonsense and bla bla bla.

Brutal Design is a small company that is committed to giving a personal service. I want all my customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase from Brutal Design, so I will always do my upmost to rectify any problems or issues my customers may have with my products or the purchasing experience. That said Brutal Design still needs some guidelines in place. So the following is to cover Brutal Design in the unlikely event of an unscrupulous or unreasonable individual trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

Returns Policy

Brutal Design operates a 30-day return policy.

If you are not completely happy with the products or service you have received from Brutal Design, I ask you to contact me as soon as possible so as we may discuss a solution that will rectify any issues you may have. If you consider the items to be faulty I ask you to return them to me for inspection. In the unlikely event that the goods are faulty I will refund your original transaction costs and the return postage fees via the original payment method. See ‘Packing a Return’ below.

If you have any questions regarding returns please contact me via the contact form on the contact page or email on studio@brutaldesign.co.uk

Payment

  1. PAYPAL is the current online payment option: You can either pay direct from your PAYPAL account into ours, or use PAYPAL to pay via a credit or debit card, with the transaction being handled by PAYPAL. You do not need to have a PAYPAL account, or sign up to their services to use this facility.
  2. BANK TRANSFER:Please use the Bank Transfer button on the Checkout page and follow the instructions.

Value Added Tax (VAT)

All prices displayed on this website are final prices, there is no VAT to add on (isn’t that a pleasant surprise), but delivery charges will apply.

I like to keep things simple especially when it comes to tax, and the thought of being an unpaid government tax collector does not appeal to me. So at this moment in time Brutal Design’s turnover is below the current threshold that would require me to register the company for VAT. Therefore the invoice for your order will not have any VAT added or charges displayed.

Privacy

I do not store customer credit card details nor do I share any customer details with any 3rd parties.

Delivery

The delivery cost is calculated by weight in the shopping cart.

Packing Returns

The best option for packing returns is to use the original packaging you received the products in, the shredded cardboard I use for packing is by far the best packaging material for protecting relatively heavy concrete lamps. If the original packaging has been discarded use a box of similar size to the original and pack the box with screwed up newspaper is the best option.

Damaged goods

If on delivery you find the box to be severely damaged please do not accept it from the courier and contact me as soon as convenient. The box did not leave the studio in that condition so it must have been mistreated on its journey to you and potentially damaged.

If you find your purchase to be damaged on opening an undamaged box please contact me as soon as convenient and if possible sent some photos of the damage, the photos help in disputes with the courier company.

Concrete finish

All of the concrete products produced by Brutal Design are cast by me, by hand in individual moulds in the London studio, although the mix ratios, ingredients and casting process is consistent, being a hand made object there will always be small variation in the surface finish from the product images shown on this site.  Although, I always hand match multiple orders for colour, and surface finish to ensure consistency, so for example, a run of lights over a kitchen island.

Questions or Queries

If you have any questions or queries about Brutal Designs products, services or policies please don’t hesitate to contact me using the contact form on the contact page or email the studio on studio@brutaldesign.co.uk
